It looks like more LG devices are likely to get a taste of the new Android L 5.0 Lollipop update.

According to a December 22 report of GSM Arena, LG G2 users are very soon to likely get the new update. This came after a screenshot of the device running the Android 5.0.1 build made rounds online. View the screenshot here.

In the photo, we see a device with software version F320L28d running a 5.0.1 Android version.

"Even more encouragingly the UI, visible in the picture seems to bear all the design and visual characteristics of LG's new GUI, which first appeared on the G3. So it seems the year-old smartphone will receive the full update package, complete with the fresher interface," GSM Arena said.

The report, however, noted that the device featured in the screenshot is the F320L G2 unit, an LTE-A model exclusive to South Korea. If the photo is legit, then this means that the update might actually first roll out in South Korea.

GSM Arena says that this is not surprising as it is automatic that LG should start rolling out the update on the domestic market first before entering other markets. The report noted that the photo, if proven true, also hints that international LG G2 versions will also get a taste of the Lollipop update "pretty soon."

Load the Game says that the Lollipop update might finally be released for the LG G2 in January next year. However, it did not provide details as to which areas or countries will first get it.

"With Android Lollipop on board, the smartphone will look brand new (well, at least from the software point of view). As you can see, Android 5.0 is coated with LG's own UI paint here, which made a cameo with the G3, so your phone will indeed feel reborn when Lollipop hits it," Phone Arena shares.

Earlier, we saw the Lollipop update rolling out on LG's current flagship device G3 but limited to Polish users. LG G3 users in the United States have yet to receive the update but it is believed that they will also soon get it.

"LG is absolutely committed to giving our customers the best mobile experiences available and bringing Android Lollipop to G3 owners as soon as possible is a top priority...The new features and improvements in Android 5.0 will bring a whole new user experience to the G3 and make it even better than it already is," LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company President and CEO Dr. Jong-seok Park said in a statement.

LG G3 users in several other countries have also finally received the update. The list includes France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Portugal, Ubergizmo said. The report also said that the update will soon hit other countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan, and Taiwan. As for North America, it said that the delay in the release of the update is "inevitable" and might be due to the update test carriers.

Also included in the list are LG G3 users in India, Belgium, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, and UK, another GSM Arena report said.
