Floyd Mayweather could be a very valuable witness to his friend's murder-suicide case. In a report by TMZ.com, the undefeated boxer was in shock after he watched via FaceTime one of his best friends, Earl Hayes, shoot his wife, VH1 star Stephanie Moseley, then kill himself. E! Online reported that Hayes was signed to Mayweather's record label before.

According to KTLA, the incident occurred in an upscale apartment complex in Block 6000 of Third West Street, Fairfax District, Los Angeles.

According to insiders, rapper Earl Hayes contacted Mayweather through FaceTime in the morning of December 8, 2014. He was allegedly furious after claims surfaced that his wife has cheated on him. Reportedly, Hayes believed that Moseley had repeated extramarital affairs, including a fling with rapper Trey Songz.

TMZ sources said that Earl told Floyd that he was going to kill his wife. Mayweather responded by asking Hayes to take control of his rage. In another TMZ report, Mayweather reportedly pleaded with Hayes to leave his beautiful wife instead because she was bad for his career. Another insider said that Floyd challenged Hayes for being weak because he could not afford to leave Moseley.

According to sources, Mayweather realized that Hayes was serious about his plan and begged until the last moment for Hayes to stop. Hayes, however, could not be convinced by the undefeated boxer and he pulled out a gun and shot Moseley, followed by his own suicide. Mayweather confirmed in the same TMZ report that he was a witness and that he heard everything, including the shots fired. He refused to share the visual details of his FaceTime encounter.

Several sources told TMZ that the Los Angeles Police Department wanted to talk to Floyd to further cite the details of the murder of the backup dancer and her husband's suicide. Based on insiders from the law enforcement agency, Hayes proceeded to the bathroom where Moseley was taking a bath at the time and fired 10 to 12 shots. The VH1 model was allegedly hit several times.

In the same report by KTLA, a resident of the Palazzo East heard the gunshots and immediately contacted the LAPD at around 7:30 a.m. The police were quick to arrive at the murder-suicide scene. When they reached the door, they heard another shot. It was the final shot Hayes took to kill himself.

The SWAT team arrived and broke the door down. Moseley's body was found in the bathtub while Hayes' body was in the bedroom.
