After reports about Samsung's new project codenamed "Project Zero" arose, rumors and speculations about the much-awaited new flagship device Samsung Galaxy S6 have continue to bombard the web.

Sam Mobile reported that the "Project Zero" is somewhat a first for the Korean electronics giant as it has consistently named previous major projects with just a letter as codename. The project for the Galaxy S4 was named Project J, Project H for the Galaxy Note 3, Project K for the Galaxy S5 and Project T for the Galaxy Note 4, it said.

Samsung's explanation about the new project's name, Sam Mobile noted, has something to do about its plans on the new device. It said that the term "Zero" was used to indicate that the new flagship device will be created from "scratch" on "an entirely new vision."

So what exactly is new about the new Samsung Galaxy S6?

Bendable design

A recent report from the International Business Times said that the new device will have a "bendable design." It noted that since its predecessor Samsung Galaxy S5's design did not get much commendation, Samsung may take its new device to a new level. It said people may expect to see an "all metal" built Samsung Galaxy S6 with "foldable capabilities." It noted that some officials during the recent Samsung Investors Forum in New York have pushed for "flexible phones."

Screen

According to PC Advisor, the new phone is expected to possess a 2,560 x 1,440 screen resolution to compete with LG flagship phones. It also said that it might use Samsung's SuperAMOLED Technology in the new device. It is also expected to be at 5.5 inches in size.

Camera

As for the camera, PC Advisor said it expects an upgrade in the new device's camera - probably a 20-megapixel camera. However, Sam Mobile said that Samsung may likely stick to the 16-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization. The camera that will get an upgrade, it said, is the device front camera which is expected to possess a 5-megapixel one.

Android 5.0 Lollipop

PC Advisor also added that Samsung's new flagship unit will likely get the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update as its operating system.

Processor

As for the processor, the device is expected to get either Samsung's Exynos 7420 or Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 or 808.

Storage and RAM

The phone is rumored to come in 32-, 64- and 128 GB models, PC Advisor revealed. It is also expected to get a 3 GB of RAM.

Price

Valuewalk estimates that the new device will be priced around $720.

Release Date

There is still no definite time frame for the release of the new device but noting of some claims and rumors, International Business Times reports that it would be released by February or by March next year.
