There won't be any Linsanity in the Kobe Bryant Show.

Jeremy Lin transferred to the Los Angeles Lakers from the Houston Rockets and before that, from the New York Knicks, where he had his short run of fame known as Linsanity. However, the Lakers' current 3-11 standing might have left the point guard in a regretful state, unable to make things better for the injury-plagued and lackluster roster.

The National wrote that Jeremy Lin has not completely been deadweight for the team since becoming part of the starting five after resident point guard Steve Nash was declared out for the entire season. In fact, he has shown promise in many ways. Lin scored at least 17 points in five games. However, in the last five games, he was playing scoreless or below mediocre. The Lakers may even be set to do worse than their 27-55 record in the 2013-2014 NBA season.

In a Lakers Nation report, the Los Angeles Lakers lost against the Denver Nuggets on November 23, 2014 but gave fans a glimpse of a potentially good chemistry between Lin and Kobe Bryant. The two guards totaled 44 points. Kobe described his on-court relationship with Lin as "fine". Bryant reportedly said, "He and I are playing two-man action a lot and trying to take advantage of the defense that way."

In the same article by The National, Lin talked about his personal strategy after the loss to Denver in overtime, "Just keep attacking, attacking, attacking. I have to keep it simple, go out and create and create as many plays as possible for myself and my teammates."

If Linsanity is bound to happen again, Lin will need to hold the ball more and shoot the ball more, which can be an issue, considering Bryant's style of play. During the final seconds in the game against the Nuggets, both teams were tied at 86. Bryant immediately took it upon himself to attempt the clutch shot, telling everyone else on the team, "Get the f*** out of my way."

Until Kobe gives Lin some more room to operate, the Lakers might be in a better position. Fansided.com reported that Bryant should adjust by shooting less and trusting their point guard more. Lin also has to be more consistent to earn that trust.

Bryant said in the same The National report, "It's fine. He added some jump shots to his game lately. That's key for him and it's key for us. It'll open up our game."
