"The Hunger Games" stars, Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth (Katniss and Gale) have chemistry onscreen. There is defintely no doubt about that. However, despite making three films together, they have maintained that they are just really, really, close. At some point, Liam even told Jimmy Kimmel that kissing Jen was "gross."

He went on to say, "When you look at it on the outside, it looks like a great picture... She's one of my best friends, I love her, but if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish or something that was disgusting. Right before the scene she'd be like, 'Yeah, I ate tuna' or 'I had garlic, and I didn't brush my teeth.' And I'd be like, 'Fantastic, I can't wait to get in there and taste it!'"

But there's something about falling in love with your best friend and rumor has it that Jen and Liam might have actually taken their friendship to the next level.

According to OK! Magazine, the on-screen couple is taking their relationship to the next level, with a source saying, "It happened while they were in Germany, promoting the movie, having a heart-to-heart in Liam's hotel room. Jennifer was overwhelmed by all the publicity surrounding her split from Chris Martin and her nude photo scandal, and he was more than happy to listen to her vent."

The source also added, Liam said something to lighten the mood, making Jen laugh, then she wrapped her arms around him to give him a hug, and that became the game changer in their relationship. "Jennifer definitely had a moment. Liam obviously felt it too, because they decided then and there that they wanted to be together."

But are they actually together for real?

When interviewed for Nylon Magazine, Jen was all praise, saying, "I guess the thing that surprised me is that I would never expect to ever have a man this good looking ever be my best friend. I just would never assume those things could happen, but he is."

The keyword in there is "best friend." But Jen is all praise about her co-star. She also told the magazine, "He's the most wonderful, lovable, family-oriented, sweet, hilarious, amazing guy."

But despite all the praises, Gossip Cop busted the news, saying that although Jen and Liam are very close, they are not actually in love. A source for the website said that the relationship between the stars is plainly platonic, stating,  "There's no truth to any of it. It's so dumb."

Nevertheless, do you think Jen and Liam will look good together as a couple, or should they just stay friends?
