For weeks, Rihanna has been teasing fans about the possibility of an eighth album to be released before 2014 officially ends. Now, the long wait might soon be over as the singer herself released a snippet of a brand new song from her upcoming new album, Direct Lyrics reported.

Rihanna released the snippet of the unnamed brand new song on Tuesday after rumors about the release of the album "R8" began to spread.

The "Diamond" singer has taken to her Twitter account on November 25 to tell her followers that she will be directly delivering any news about the upcoming album.

The 26-year-old also used her Instagram account to post a video clip where some lines of the song can be heard. The caption was "phuckin roun in da studio."

"Ain't none of this sh*t promised / Ain't none of this sh*t certain," the Barbadian singer sang in the Instagram clip.

Rihanna's tweet came following a statement from Dash Radio DJ Skee, telling his listeners about the album, which he said will be released early 2015, according to Just Jared.

The DJ said that the overall sound of the song still had Rihanna's signature big ballad volas, but the song sounded as if it was "mixed with hard hitting beats. A little edgier than typical Rihanna, if that makes any sense," Skee said.

"In terms of producers, she's been in with a lot of people. They still haven't announced or determined the final track listing because there have been a lot of records cut, but I know Stargate is definitely in the mix," he added.

Meanwhile, some rumors are also spreading that RiRi's album could be released on Black Friday, as her brother Rajad Fenty have been counting down the days till November 28, Music Times reported.

Fenty's Twitter countdown began in November 20, when he posted a tweet with nothing but the number "8," which led to speculation that it could be in reference to the "R8" album.

However, Rihanna's brother denied the rumors that his post was about his sister's upcoming album, and that it will be released on the 28th.

Music Times said Fenty have denied the rumors that "R8" will be released when his countdown comes to an end, because "R8" may not really be the title of the album.

It can be recalled that last month, a supposed press release for the album revealed that it will be called "Lost Files" with an original release date on November 25.
