The Oscar frontrunners are starting to come out as the Toronto Film Festival wrapped up Sunday, September 16.

"The Silver Linings Playbook" by David O. Russell won the audience award beating out tough competition by Ben Affleck's "Argo" and Eran Rikili's "Zaytoun."

The Audience award has been won by four previous best picture winners including "Chariots of Fire," "American Beauty," "Slumdog Millionaire" and most recently "The King's Speech." Additionally foreign films that win the award and have also gone on to win the Best Foreign Film award include "Tsotsi," "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon," and "Life is Beautiful."

"Linings Playbook," which stars Academy Award nominee Jennifer Lawerance, Bradley Cooper and Academy Award winner Robert De Niro, opened to rave reviews at the festival and while the film still has a long way to go, it is now the frontrunner to win the award for Best Picture at the Oscars. It also does not hurt that the film is a feel good film that Oscar voters tend to fawn over. The last two best Picture Winners ("The King's Speech" and "The Artist") were both feel good films. If the Russell's film wins the award, it would mark Harvey Weinstein's third Best Picture in a row after "The King's Speech" and "The Artist." The film opens nationwide November 21.

Other winners included Martin McDonagh's "Seven Psychopaths" starring Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken, Abbie Cornish and Woody Harrelson as well as Branden Cronenberg's "Antiviral" starring Sasha Gadon. For the full list of winners click here.
