Last week, Marvel confirmed that Daniel Bruhl will have a role in "Captain America: Civil War" and rumors suggest that he was set to play a villain in the film. Not only that, he's also appearing in Doctor Strange movie, making him quite a busy man as both films are set to be released by 2016.

Den of Geek has managed to get information regarding Bruhl's role, but he's definitely not going to be the main villain. That role will go to Frank Grillo, whose role already appeared in "Captain America: Winter Soldier" as Brock Rumlow, later to be known as Crossbones.

Even though Bruhl's role is yet to be uncovered, the company already has big plans for him. Marvel president and "Civil War" producer, Kevin Feige said in a statement, "With Daniel's ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes."

Digital Trends also think that given Bruhl's history of playing German characters, his villain role may be of the high-born Nazi scientist and supervillain, Baron Zemo, who, in the comics has already collaborated with other villains that include Arnim Zola (Toby Jones) and Baron Wolfgang Strucker (Thomas Kretschmann).

Although being Baron Zemo may be the most popular choice, Comic Book Resources have other villains in mind, including the resurrected Red Skull, who may have found a way to cheat death again, and Dr. Faustus, an evil Austrian psychologist.

Still, other villainous roles could call Bruhl as Nitro, the villain who caused Tony Stark to create the "Superhuman Registration Act" that kicked off the "Civil War." Or he could be Baron Blood, considering that Captain America has a lot of conflicts with the Baron. "Civil War" could be an opportunity for the supernatural villains to make their way in the Marvel cinematic universe.

Yet, Bruhl could be Cobra, since Feige originally said that the title of the third Captain America film would be "Serpent Society" before they pulled a bait-and-switch on the deal. Or he could go underground and be an enemy of the state as John Walker.

Finally, although it's going to be quite a long shot except for a name dropped by Agent Skye on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", Bruhl could also be the Punisher.

Which villain do you think the actor is going to play on "Captain America: Civil War"?
