Barely three days after its official release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC, Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed Unity" is getting assassinated by fans and gamers for its in-game errors and glitches.

The International Business Times listed some of the in-game errors as enumerated by gamers including faceless characters, hovering, and missing skin among several more.

As the seventh installment to the popular video game franchise, fans were expecting more from "Assassin's Creed Unity." That's in addition to the fact that its November 11 official launch was actually a two-week deferment from its original October 28 release date, notes the report.

Vincent Pontbriand, senior producer of Ubisoft, in justifying the delay in the release of the game, was quoted as saying then that: "I felt that the (development) team was near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure the game (comes out) exceptional."

The glitches were so many that in fact, Polygon even referred to the game as an 'amazing glitch factory.'

"Assassin's Creed Unity" has some issues, that's clear, but not all of those issues are necessarily bad things," states the report.

Addressing the Issue

The Ubisoft development team may have suspected that the latest "Assassin's Creed Unity" would fall below the expectations of fans and gamers so much so that it has scheduled its review embargo at 12 pm of November 11, a full 12 hours after the game was officially released, details the International Business Times.

In a forum site for the game, Ubisoft responded to the numerous complaints it has been getting about "Assassin's Creed Unity" while assuring gamers that the development team is working hard and quickly to resolve the issue.

"We are aware that the graphics performance of 'Assassin's Creed Unity on PC may be adversely affected by certain AMD CPU and GPU configurations. This should not affect the vast majority of PC players, but rest assured that AMD and Ubisoft are continuing to work together closely to resolve the issue, and will provide more information as soon as it is available," Ubisoft said in the forum.

Most of the complaints that Ubisoft has received in the NeoGAF forum come from the PC with some coming from Xbox One and PS4. But those basically involved video graphics, something which a good fix or patch on the video driver can easily address.

"Assassin's Creed Unity" is already reeling from a mediocre review, according to the International Business Times. Ubisoft needs to do that quick fix soon if it wants to bounce back and make the game truly exceptional.
