More than the impending official release of "Grand Theft Auto 5" on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 18, fans of the video game are still on edges as to when the promised 'Heists' DLC for "GTA 5 Online" will finally become a reality.

Rockstar, the game's developer, has promised the 'Heists' DLC as early as last year when "GTA 5 Online" was launched.

Christian Today explains that 'Heists' shall enable gamers to set up and pull off intricate and high-profile capers alongside their GTA buddies online and collectively accumulate large sums of virtual cash.

"We know many of you in the GTA Online community are super excited for the debut of cooperative heists. Heists are currently in development and we are working very hard to get them as polished and as fun as they can be. Stay tuned for much more details in the New Year," Rockstar said in its website.

While the company did not specify any date for the release of the DLC heists for "GTA V Online", it was clear that Rockstar is eyeing a 2015 launch.

"Expect big things in both "Grand Theft Auto Online" and "Grand Theft Auto V" next year including the GTA Online Heists," it further proclaimed.

The absence of a specific release date for the 'Heists' DLC from Rockstar had fans and gamers of the GTA Online community frustrated and annoyed, reports Air Herald.

Rumors and Leaks

Last week, rumors began to circulate that the promised 'Heists' DLC would come with the 1.18 update patch of "GTA 5 Online." The Halloween update came and featured a zombie DLC alright but the 'Heists' DLC were nowhere to be found.

There were also speculations that Rockstar will release the 'Heists' DLC alongside the release of "GTA 5" on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but now gamers are thinking that it is a remote possibility, notes Christian Today.

Excitement over the 'Heists" DLC has been building up in the past couple of months especially when a leak of the supposed 'Heists' DLC made it to the internet.

In a September 3 article of Breathe Cast, it made mention of a YouTube post by DomisLive, a known leaker who operates a "GTA 5 Channel" hinting that the 'Heists' DLC includes a "thermite bomb." The leaker even supported his assumption by displaying "purported in-game pictures of the so-called weapon."

The leaker however criticized Rockstar for coming up with a "supposed weapon" for the 'Heists' DLC. "Rockstar made a huge mistake. I have seen the thermite bomb right under the musket. This is one of the biggest mistakes I've ever seen in the game," DomisLive was quoted by Breathe Cast as saying.
