The long wait is over for millions of fans and game enthusiasts of "Call of Duty", the blockbuster first-person shooter video game's latest offering will officially hit the market on November 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Set in year 2054, "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" will pit soldiers of the future against a cunning villain delectably played by Kevin Spacey, reports South China Morning Post.

Indicative of how successful the "Call of Duty" video game franchise is, Sledgehammer has actually sold 100 million copies since its very first version launched in 2003, details the site.

The game will go on retail for $60. Sledgehammer, the developer of the video game, said that it has designed the game to suit the latest gaming consoles of Sony and Microsoft as well as Windows-powered PC, the report added.

Zombie Mode

For a season pass worth $69.95, "Call of Duty: Advance Warfare" will include a Zombie mode, says a statement by GameStop, a US-based video game retailer, cites NZ Gamer.

"Zombies are back as part of the 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' season pass! Stop by any GameStop to pick up one of the most anticipated games to launch this year along with 4-mutliplayer map tracks, Atlas Gorge, and yes - Zombies," said GameStop in its press release.

Word got out that a zombie mode will be part of the latest instalment of the very successful video game franchise when a leak came out last week, points out NZ Gamer.

Both Sledgehammer and Activision, the publisher of the video game, did not make any official confirmation of the special mode for the game, added the report.

Sledgehammer CEO Glen Schofield however tweeted: "Nothing I can do about it now. But yeah it s--ks. Imagine, you're playing and this comes up, you'd be psyched up, right?"

Features and Gameplay

The most prominent addition to the game is the "exoskeleton suits" that give characters and players super-soldier abilities, notes South China Morning Post.

They do battle with a private military corporation led by Jonathan Irons, played by Kevin Spacey, who seeks to rule the world. Accordingly, a special technology was used to create the Academy Award winning actor's movements and expressions, observes the report.

"It's been a lot of fun working with the team to bring Jonathan Irons to life. The technology is truly remarkable and unlike anything I've done before. I am excited to see where this goes," Kevin Space said in a statement.

For those fans who have pre-ordered "Day Zero" of the game, they can get a head start playing the game on November 3 while enjoy some digital freebies.
