Halloween is near, and what's better than getting ready to get inspired by watching a ton of horror movies?

Unfortunately, longer movies have a lot of lulls in them, so why not find one that will chill you in sixty seconds flat?

The winner of the international Filminute Award is perfect for Halloween. The short, directed by Barcelona-Ignacio F. Rodo, is enough to scare the pants off you even though it's only exactly one minute long.

According to Cinema Blend, the minute-long film is inspired by a Reddit post from about a year ago that requested users to come up with scary stories in two sentences. The top submission was one written by Juan J Ruiz, with username justAnotherMuffledVo.

The story goes this way:

I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, "Daddy check for monsters under my bed." I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, "Daddy there's somebody on my bed."

According to MTV, Rodo said that the movie, featuring Luka and Mark Schardan, has already won several awards around the world.

The two-sentence story from Ruiz is not the only one that could chill you, why not make your own horror movie project from these examples as well?

From user comparativelysane:

You hear your mom calling you into the kitchen. As you are heading down the stairs you hear a whisper from the closet saying "Don't go down there honey, I heard it too."

From Jmperson:

The last thing I saw was my alarm clock flashing 12:07 before she pushed her long rotting nails through my chest, her other hand muffling my screams.

I sat bolt upright, relieved it was only a dream, but as I saw my alarm clock read 12:06, I heard my closet door creak open.

Are you scared enough yet?
