Kendall Jenner, the movie star? The leggy Kardashian sister is reportedly in talks to star in the sequel of the erotic romance film "Fifty Shades of Grey." Jenner, who has already made a name in the fashion world as a high-end catwalk and print ad model, is said to be talking with agents about playing a role in the EL James novel-based movie sequel, Grazia Magazine said.

An insider claimed that Jenner was not only eyed for the "Fifty Shades Darker," but was actually tipped to have been offered a role in the first film, which is set to debut in theaters on Valentine's Day next year. Could it be the role of Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele?

Daily Mail quoted an insider close to the situation, saying, "Director Sam Taylor-Wood is fascinated by her and expressed interest in her appearing in the first film but it didn't happen. Universal is also keen for Kendall to be involved in the sequel. They put in a call to her people and arranged a meeting last month, which went really well. It wouldn't be a major role but would certainly be a foot in the door of Hollywood. Apparently, she'll only sign on once Sam Taylor-Wood is confirmed as the director."

The news about the development of the "Fifty Shades" sequel was a complete departure to comments made by film producer Dana Brunetti to MTV News back in March. While at the red carpet with his date, "Glee" star Kristin Chenoweth, Brunetti said, "I have no idea (about the sequel). I have no idea yet. We haven't even started discussing that yet. We just want to get this one wrapped and get it cut. We'll see the cut, see how it goes, and once it's released, we'll start discussing what happens next."

It is not clear which role Kendall is supposed to play in the sequel, although, given the fact that she has dark hair just like the film lead star Dakota, she could play one of the former submissives of the Christian Grey character in the movie, which is played by Jamie Dornan. If the rumors are true, this could be Jenner's biggest break out of the shadow of her older sisters, particularly Kim Kardashian-West. There have been reports that Jenner dropped her last name to change up her career path.

A source told Hollywood Life, "She just wants some independence from her family. Everyone in the business refers to her on a first-name basis, anyway. It's really important to Kendall that she make a name for herself on her own and she feels like dropping her last name helps with that goal."
