After Brock Lesnar decimated John Cena at SummerSlam on August 17, Monday Night Raw the next day was filled with highlights and a few fresh changes.

For one, according to USA Today, the WWE has unveiled a new logo. It appeared on the new title belt awarded to Brock Lesnar. The new WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt was presented by Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Monday Night Raw was held at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. At the start, Daniel Bryan's music played but instead of the former champion, Stephanie McMahon emerged and mocked the "Yes!" chants of Bryan. Stephanie shared that The Authority will be presenting the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt. Nikki Bella was also introduced, who then took the mic and launched into a tirade about her sister Brie whom she called manipulative and selfish. She then proceeded to mock Bryan, Brie's husband.

In an article by Bleacher Report, Big Show and Mark Henry upped their record to 2-0 against the Wyatt Family after facing Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. Mark Henry was dominant throughout the match while Big Show had to be cheered by the crowd to focus on the fight. Henry gave Rowan several clotheslines before Big Show gave Harper a knockout punch. Henry finished the match via the World's Strongest Slam.

The Authority entered the ring and introduced Lesnar during the belt presentation. The crowd was booing loudly as the group took photos. Paul Heyman complimented Cena for staying tough and said that he would gladly take Cena under his wing if the latter consented. He talked about the great showing by Lesnar and threatened anyone who would like to challenge the new champion.

In a blog post by Lords of Pain, Dolph Ziggler and The Miz also fought again for the Intercontinental Championship. Ziggler gained the advantage early but had to compromise after The Miz continued to pound on his injured knee. The Miz blocked a superkick attempt by Ziggler. The Miz executed the Figure Four leg lock to almost win the match but Ziggler successfully reached the ropes. The Miz ultimately won the bout after Ziggler was counted out for lying too long at ringside.

Other matches were also featured such as Roman Reigns, Rob Van Dam and Sheamus winning over Randy Orton and RybAxel. Goldust and Stardust also won over The Usos. Seth Rollins won against Dean Ambrose via referee decision.

Later on, Russians Lana and Rusev, entered the ring to irk fans before Mark Henry came and gave Rusev the World's Strongest Slam.
