Who knew Hercules' wife is also a supermodel? The new trailer for the epic fantasy film "Hercules" features Irina Shayk, one of the most sought-after models in the industry, in her first full-length film.

According to Daily Mail, the Russian beauty will play the role of Megara opposite Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Hercules) in the upcoming movie. Ian McShane and John Hurt will also star in the action-packed fantasy, adapted from the graphic novel "Hercules: The Thracian Wars" by Steve Moore.

In the trailer, Megara is introduced as Hercules' love interest and the mother to his three beautiful kids. In one scene, Megara is seen stripping seductively, teasing her husband as she takes a bath. In another clip, she is also spotted screaming as an unknown creature with multiple heads attack her.

The Brett Ratner-helmed epic will reportedly have a unique Hercules-inspired film adaptation compared to "The Legend Of Hercules" which stars Kellan Lutz of the "Twilight" franchise fame. Based on the Moore novel, the story will take viewers at the time when Hercules has completed his fabled twelve labors, and gets tested when the King of Thrace, wonderfully played by Hurt, asks for his help in overthrowing an evil warlord. Based on the trailer, fans of the Greek legend will be happy to know that several of Hercules' battles with a series of legendary creatures like the nine headed Lernaean Hydra, the Nemean Lion, the Erymanthian Boar and the three-headed dog Cerberus, will be featured in the film.

With Johnson in the lead, producers of the film are confident that the movie goers will warmly embrace "Hercules" this time around. "The Legend of Hercules," which debuted in theaters in January flopped at the box office.

Johnson himself is not bothered with the lukewarm reception the Lutz-starred film received from critics, and told USA Today in an earlier interview, "When a movie is not built on a foundation of passion then you roll the dice and run the risk of making something that is not up to par. And I think in that case, that was the type of movie that they made. It came, it went, and I believe it had no impact on our movie. I think it helped our movie because of the quality of the movie that they made. But we made a good movie. When you make a good movie you have got a shot of doing okay at the box office. What I am confident about is the connection we will have with the audience."
