Neil Patrick Harris, the multifaceted star of the popular TV show "How I Met Your Mother", surprised his thousands of followers when the the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine was revealed.
Besides sprucing up the next issue of the prestigious magazine, Harris decided to do it unexpectedly: posing completely naked, dressed with nothing else but a bowtie and an strategically placed tophat.
Besides the photo shoot, the new issue of Rolling Stone, which will be sold on May 22 will contain an interview in which the 40-year-old actor, one of the most acclaimed TV stars and whose trajectory through Broadway and Hollywood has also been noted, speaks on his new look after losing weight and about his happy life as a gay man, reported The Daily News.
The "greatest male gay star in Hollywood's history", as Rolling Stone has described Harris, he has gotten more than praise for his recent role as Hedwig, the transexual German rocker he plays in "Hedwig the Angry Inch", his most recent work.
Besides preparing physically for the demanding role, for which he lost weight, Harris has faced the challenge of convincingly representing the feminine aspects of the transgendered singer he plays, as opposed to the womanizing handsome man he played in HIMYM.
"He's so thing, and I believe this gives him power. He has an incredible vody now," said Harris' fiance, David Burtka in the interview which can be seen in the new issue of Rolling Stone.
