On April 15, a number of DVD and Blu-Rays will be released.

"Philomena" - The Weinstein Company may have had an off season last year, but this Judi Dench film was the highlight of the company's 2013 slate. The film, which was nominated for four Academy Awards including Best Picture, tells the story of a political journalist who picks up the story of a woman's search for her son, who was taken away from her decades ago after she became pregnant and was forced to live in a convent. The film received rave reviews and was also a box office success. With good word of mouth, the film is bound to find a big audience on home video.

"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" - Fox had one of its biggest disappointments with Ben Stiller's latest film. The film, which premiered at the New York Film Festival, had high hopes of becoming an awards film and even a holiday box office success. However, the film was a failure in both those respects. "Walter Mitty" tells the story of a day-dreamer who escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action. His life changes when his job along with that of his co-worker are threatened and he decides to takes action in the real world by embarking on a global journey that turns into an adventure more extraordinary than anything he could have ever imagined. The film also stars Patton Oswalt, Kristen Wigg and Sean Penn.

"Ride Along" - Ice Cube and Kevin Hart made this film the first success of 2014 back in January. The movie will hope to continue its excellent run on home video. The film tells the story of security guard Ben who must prove himself to his girlfriend's brother, top cop James. He rides along with James on a 24-hour patrol of Atlanta. Universal is already developing a sequel that is slated for release next year.

"The Nut Job" - Open Road broke records with the animated "The Nut Job," which became the studio's highest-grossing film of all time. While it did not score rave reviews, the movie appealed to family audiences and the studio is already planning a sequel. "The Nut Job" tells the story of an incorrigibly self-serving exiled squirrel who finds himself helping his former park brethren raid a nut store to survive, which is also the front for a human gang's bank robbery.

"The Invisible Woman" - Ralph Fiennes' second film was nominated for an Oscar, but the film was not the biggest success. As a result, Sony Classics Pictures will only release a Blu-Ray/DVD combo. The movie tells the story of Charles Dickens who meets a younger woman who becomes his secret lover until his death.

"Great Expectations" - Mike Newell's Charles Dickens adaptation was one of the most anticipated films in 2012, but the movie fell off the radar. The movie stars Fiennes, Helena Boham Carter, Jeremy Irvine, and Holiday Grainger and tells the story of a humble orphan who suddenly becomes a gentleman with the help of an unknown benefactor. Main Street Films will release the movie on Blu-Ray and DVD.

"Interior Leather Bar" - James Franco's controversial movie about cruising will arrive on DVD after a short run in theaters. Strand will release the film.
