The Royal Opera House has announced its Live HD cinema series for 2014-15.

The HD season will include both ballets and operas. The HD season will begin with Macmillan's "Manon" on Oct. 16. The work currently does not have cast.

Verdi's "I Due Foscari" will follow on Oct. 27. The opera will feature a new production by Thaddeus Strassberger and will star Placido Domingo, Maria Argesta and Francesco Meli. Antonio Pappno will conduct the work for the first time at the Royal Opera House.

On Nov. 26 Vittorio Grigolo will take the ROH stage in Laurent Pelly's production of Donizetti's "L'Elisir d'Amore." The production is also set to star Lucy Crowe and bass-baritone Bryn Terfel. Daniele Rusitoni will conduct the work.

The Royal Ballet will return to the silver screen  on Dec. 16 for Wheeldon's "Alice's Adaventures in wonderland."

On Jan. 29 Pappano will lead a new production of Giordano's "Andrea Chenier." The production, which is one of the most anticipated of the year will be directed by Sir David McVicar and is set to star Jonas Kaufmann in the title role and in his role debut as well as Eva-Mara Westbroek and Zeljko Lucic. Veteran mezzo Denyce Graves and legendary soprano Roslaind Plowright will provide luxury casting for the production.

Wagner's "Der Fliegende Hollander" will be presented in theaters on Feb. 24 Terfel will portray the iconic character with Adrienne Pieczonka as Senta and Micheal Konig as Eric.

The March 17 broadcast will showcase Tchaikovsky's classic "Swan Lake" with a choreography by Petipa.

Anne Sophie Von Otter will headline a new production by John Fulljames of Weill's masterpiece "Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny." The will also star Willard White, Christine Rice, and Kurt Streit. Mark Wigglesworth will conduct the work.

The ballet will return on May 5 with Ashton's choreography for "La Fille Mal Gardee."

On June 10 Dan Ettinger will conduct Puccini's "La Boheme" in John Copley's classic production. The cast will feature superstar soprano Anna Netrebko in her acclaimed Mimi, Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja, Jennifer Rowley and Lucas Meachem.

The HD season will conclude with a new production of Rossini's "Guillaume Tell." Damiano Michieletto will make his ROH debut directing Rossini's last opera. The production will star Gerald Finley in the title role, John Osborn, Mailin Bystrom, Eric Halfvarson, and Alexander Vinogradov. The transmission will be on July 5.

The HD season only a portion of the ROH season but represents some of the best the company has to offer. The house is currently in their 2012-13 season and has recently presented Puccini's "Turandot," Mozart's "Don Giovanni," Verdi's Les Vespres Siciliennes," Rossini's "La Donna del Lago," Verdi's "Nabucco," and Wagner's "Parsifal." The series has featured a number of stars including Angela Gheorghiu, Domingo, Juan Diego Florez, Joyce DiDonato, Bryan Hymel, Grigolo, Rene Pape, Mariusz Kwiecien, Simon Keenlyside and Susan Bullock. The 2012-13 will conclude on June 24 with transmission of Puccini's Manon Lescaut starring Kaufmann and Kristine Opolais in a new production Jonathan Kent. Pappano will conduct.
