Despite Jennifer Aniston's repeated shunning of talks about getting involved in a Friends reunion, rumors about a possible reboot refuse to die. And fans still refuse to lose hope.

Recently, Friends alum Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani in the hit series, revealed his fondness for the hit TV sitcom and the parallels of his old role with the current one he plays on his Showtime series 'Episodes.' In the said show, he plays an actor who shares the same name as he does in real life and is "a version of himself who can't get past his Friends days, he's stuck on a show called Pucks," according to KpopStarz.

"He just happens to have the same name I do," Matt explained. "When we were coming up with who the character was going to be, I thought it would be fun - since our salaries were all published during Friends - to make this Matt LeBlanc way, way wealthier than me."

Okay, so he's not exactly playing himself, then.

The show "references" Friends, as well as the Joey spinoff. As such, it's quite safe to say that Episodes is sort of a "substitute" to the successful '90s sitcom. Cougar Town too, but only mostly when former Friends stars guest on the show.

Matt also admitted that he watches Friends reruns.

"If I'm cruising around and it pops up, I'll stop to see which one it is. And sometimes I'll say, 'What is this? I don't remember it.' And then it will take me a second and then I'll go...'No, I still don't remember this,'" he shared to E! News.

He sounds like he'll be game for another round of Friends. However, when asked about plans to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the show, he responded with this statement: "Not that I know of. If there are, they haven't called me."

Fans of the show still need to do a lot of hoping and praying. Stay tuned for more updates!
