With the cast of "Fantastic Four" announced, we can't help but wonder—are these really the right actors for the upcoming reboot?

Fox announced that Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jaime Bell, and Michael B. Jordan would be the protagonists to the superhero adaptation. All four actors have been seen in big studio and independent films but have never headlined a franchise film.

The new casting is also a bit different from the previous films as the actors are much younger than Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis were when they headlined the first two movies.

So who are these new stars?

Teller, 27, will play the role of Mr. Reed/Mr. Fantastic. The actor first appeared in Hollywood when he starred in "Rabbit Hole" and later had his breakthrough in "The Spectacular Now." Teller was also see in "21 & Over," "Footloose," "That Awkward Moment" and "Project X." The actor will next be seen in "Divergent"; even though this is a huge blockbuster picture, Teller will not be playing the lead role in the movie.

British star Bell, 28, has been in the industry ever since he was a child and for his upcoming role in the comic book adaptation he will play Ben Grimm/The Thing. Bell had his breakthrough performance in his debut film "Billy Elliot," for which he received a BAFTA award. After the award-winning performance Bell was seen in supporting roles of many Hollywood blockbusters including "King Kong," "Flags of Our Fathers" and "Jumper." However, he never broke out in Hollywood and dedicated himself to indie pictures such as "Retreat," "Undertow," and "Filth." He will next be seen in "Nymphomaniac" and "Snow Piercer."

Mara, 31, has not had a huge breakthrough in Hollywood although she has had roles in high profile films and TV series. She has been seen in "24" and "CSI," as well as "Brokeback Mountain." She also had a small role in "127 Hours," "Iron Man 2" and "Iron Clad." The actress also had a breakout in the Netflix original series "House of Cards" and "Tron: Uprising." However, she has yet to land a leading role in a major blockbuster. Her next film will be "Transcendence" with Johnny Depp and "Captive." Mara's role in "Fantastic Four" will be Sue Storm/Mrs. Fantastic.

Jordan, 27, had a breakout year in 2013 when he starred in the Sundance winner "Fruitvale Station." The actor won a number of accolades and received a nomination for the Indie Spirit Awards. He was later seen in "That Awkward Moment" with Teller and will next be seen in "Triple Nine" alongside Aaron Paul, Kate Winslet, Casey Affleck, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Jordan will play the role of Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and will reunite with his "Chronicle" director Josh Trank.

Trank is currently slated to helm the film from a script by Simon Kinberg. Gregory Goodman and Matthew Vaughn will produce the movie.

"Fantastic Four" is slated to begin shooting in Louisiana next year and Fox will release the film reboot on March 6, 2015.
