Arturo Vidal is having a season to remember with Juventus in the Serie A. Manchester United seems to have taken notice and is reportedly interested in luring the midfielder to England. However, this transfer attempt may not go according to plan.

Vidal recently stated that he was unaware of any transfer rumors and was interested in remaining with his current club.

"I am not aware of them. I keep getting linked to other clubs, like Manchester United recently," said Vidal, according to ESPN. "That's just normal when you put in good performances at a top club."

The 26-year-old midfielder has been terrific for Italy's top side as he has put together 10 goals and five assists in just 20 games for Juventus; in 2012-13 he scored 10 goals and eight helpers in 31 matches. He has also scored on far fewer shots. In 2012-13, he scored 10 goals on 62 shots; this year, he has only needed 45 shots to score 10 goals.

Why is Vidal playing so well? The Chilean has a simple explanation.

"Because in my role I am the best in the world," he proclaimed. "Many try to imitate my style, but I want to say one thing -- I'm the best in the world.

"In my role, no one defends like me or scores as many goals as me," he added. "I have won two Italian championships and am under contract until 2017. I want to win the Champions League with Juventus until then."

The Chilean is certainly versatile as he is asked to play from box-to-box and defend and score. He has certainly excelled in both capacities this year. However, is Vidal the best box-to-box midfielder in the world?
