Singer Yandel suffered an accident while shooting "The Voice Mexico 3", where he is a coach along with his duet partner Wisin.

According to AFP, on Thursday, Dec. 4, the Puerto Rican singer had an accident as he shot the TV show in Valle de Bravo.

The community of Valle de Bravo, in southern Mexico City, is known as a location to practice extreme sports, and in that mountainous region, Yandel was driving a quad bike until he lost control and fell.

The singer was helped by the production team, and was immediately transported to a hospital.

The singer's work team said that he didn't suffer any serious injuries, just some bruises on his body.

His partner Wisin thanked their followers for their support through his Twitter account.

As a consequence of the accident, the singer was not present on Sunday's episode of "The Voice Mexico 3," which began the Live Rounds, forcing Wisin to make all the decisions for their team.

Coaches Alejandra Guzmán, David Bisbal, Marco Antonio Solís and host Jaqueline Bracamontes sent their best wishes to Yandel, wishing him a speedy recovery so he can return to the show.

On his Instagram account, the singer sent a message to his team and his the fans

"Ready to enjoy @lavozmexicooficial lots of good vibes for my team @wisingram Kerem & Aby!!! I miss you so much I wish I was with you. #WITHYOUSOON," Yandel wrote, along with a picture of him laying down in a hospital bed.

During November, Yandel presented his new album "La Leyend" as a solo artist and ended the rumors regarding the splitting up of Los Líderes, saying it was only a marketing stunt.

Currently, Wisin and Yandel are working on their next album, which will be released in 2015.
