The Marvel Universe fandom is agog over the latest rumors that a Hulk solo fim is now being considered, reports Classicalite.com.

This rumor of a Hulk movie was echoed by the actor who first played the Incredible Hulk both on television and the big screen, Lou Ferrigno. During an interview with Flicks and the City, as reported in Yahoo! Movies UKFerrigno expressed his confidence in the future project.

"They are doing a Hulk movie. I think after the next Avengers. The reason is because the Hulk's the last movie - The Avengers saves the day with the star of the movie so Disney agreed to do a Hulk movie."

Nerdbastards.com commented, however, that the new film could be "extremely awesome or extremely disappointing news depending on whether or not it's true." The report added that Marvel may be planning something in the future for the green giant, something along the lines of "Planet Hulk."

This speculation though was quashed in a report by screenrant.com, who quoted Marvel Studios President of Production Kevin Feige as saying, "There's no script in the works or anything, but we are talking about it. All the Hulk energy right now is on Avengers 2, but Mark Ruffalo is signed up (for more films). What we're excited about exploring and expanding is Mark - and Bruce Banner is not in Planet Hulk at all. The fun of Hulk is his interaction with humans."

Notably, there were rumors back in May that the studios were having a hard time securing all the cast for the Avengers sequel, report in Digital Spy. So if there is any truth to a Planet Hulk film, which will also feature Iron Man among others, the studios may face another challenge in scoring another contract with Robert Downey Jr. and other actors.
