Mexican beauty Ninel Conde was being blackmailed with personal photos, but decided to share the pictures herself, posting the images on her Twitter account so her extortionist couldn't get any money for selling them.

According to Latin Times, Conde posted a picture oh herself lying in bed without make up, and wrapped in a towel. "Here is one of the pictures that are being used to blackmail me. I know who is behind this," she captioned the photo.

Conde claimed an unkown man was blackmailing with the images in exchange for money, and said he had modified the pictures and their context. "El Bombón Asesino," as her fans call her, also used the hashtags #NoALaExtorsion and #NoALucrarMasConMiImagen, which means "No More Extortion" and "No More Profiting From My Image."

This incident adds up to a very challenging year for the 37-year old star. Back in August, Conde announced through a statement she was ending her seven-year marriage with Juan Zepeda. "I wish to announce that my husband, Juan Zepeda and I, are currently experiencing a painful separation that has been going on for some time. We've been married for 7 years, so we are asking the media to be respectful at this time," Conde said in the statement.

"We wanted to make this public, as a way of thanking all of you for your support and the interest you have always shown toward us, and avoid speculations regarding this separation. It should be noted that in our marriage there was never any violence and there was never another person involved in our relationship. We appreciate your understanding during this painful decision we are currently undergoing," the statement concludes.

Later, during an interview with Univision's TV show "Hoy," Conde denied being having been unfaithful to Zepeda with businessman Pepe Díaz, actress Eiza Gonzalez's ex-boyfriend, although she did admit having met Díaz in a nightclub in Cancún, Mexico. "I've felt very hurt, very disappointed and I don't want that for my life. The important thing is to heal my heart," said Conde during the interview.

"My only mistake as a woman was being in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the wrong people, and I really have nothing to be ashamed of because I knew what him [Zepeda] and I were going through; he had already decided to leave", the actress explained.

According to Conde, her marriage crisis started a year ago. "Unfortunately we've had several crisis with many temporary splits", she said. "We've started the divorce process and I asked my lawyer to do all the paperwork."
