The good news: Joe Hart will get a chance at redemption this week against Viktoria Plzen. The bad news? Iker Casillas may be coming to replace him in January.

According to reports, Manchester City is looking to buy the Real Madrid legend in the upcoming January window to salvage its teetering goaltending situation.

According to The Mirror, Iker Casillas is no longer the favorite netminder in Real Madrid and it is likely that he will ask to be moved once the January window comes around. Casillas is being limited to the Champions League and Copa del Rey. However, with the World Cup looming next summer, Casillas knows that he needs to prove that he is back in top form in order to lead his team to another championship.

Joe Hart has stumbled in the last few years and has been demoted to being the second string keeper at City under Manuel Pellegrini. While he still has a chance to win back the spot, the addition of Casillas would likely relegate him to the bench for good.

The big question on everyone's mind is whether Casillas would fit in at City. Pellegrini is at the helm of the club and the fact that the goalie and manager are both Spanish should help get rid of any tensions. It also helps that a major contingent of the team's core is made up of Spaniards. David Silva, Alvaro Negredo and Jesus Navas are all stars for City and also major contributors on the Spanish National team.

While City may be a step down for Casillas in terms of obtaining Champions League glory, he will obtain the chance he needs to shine on one of the brightest stages in the world in hopes of reclaiming his title as being the top keeper in the world.

Will Casillas fit in at Manchester City? Should he leave Real Madrid?
