Justin Bieber canceled his third show in Argentina for his "Believe" tour, due to food poisoning this week, leaving thousands of fans both disappointed and feeling scammed, news site Clarin reported.

The Canadian star only performed eight songs.

The "Beauty and the Beast" singer was scheduled to perform three shows in the South American country: one in Córdoba City, and two in Buenos Aires. The morning of his third and final concert, Bieber started tweeting about his bad day, writing that although he was thrilled to have won an MTV Europe Music Award, he didn't feel well.

"Sitting here with food poisoning and heard we won Best Male at the Emas. Thanks everyone," said the teen idol, and added, "Argentina been a rough day but the show must go on. I'm coming...This sucks.... Not feeling so good. Actually pretty sick. Pulling it together. Argentina we got a show to do. Love u."

Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, released an statement addressing the suspension of the show on Sunday. "After his first show in Buenos Aires on November 9... he began to feel sick. After finishing the show at around 1 a.m. he started vomiting and feeling sick. For that reason, Justin didn't come out," said Braun, according to Clarín.

Braun continued, "At 4 a.m. he still felt sick so we decided to go see a doctor, who recommended he suspended all his activities, including Sunday's show, since he suffered from severe food poisoning. However, the show's cancellation was not within the options of the artist."

"This Sunday morning, at around 10, doctors decided to supply him serum and intravenous medication until 6 p.m., at which time he left to the stadium," read the statement.

Bieber was the final act at the "Z Festival," which also included performances by Carly Rae Jepsen, Owl City, and Cody Simpson. Since most of the artists did perform, the organizers of the show, Fénix Entertainment, released a statement saying Sunday's show wouldn't be re-scheduled and ticket money wouldn't be returned.

Bieber's friend, video producer Alfredo Flores, took to Twitter to defend the 19-year-old singer. "Going against doctors' orders he still went on stage tonight. The last thing Justin ever wants to do is let his fans down," wrote Flores, according to Entertainment Wise.

"He gave it his all but health always comes first. Proud of him for even getting out there and giving it a go. Today was a rough one."
