Three years after Argentinian musician Gustavo Cerati suffered a stroke in Venezuela that left him in a deep coma, the vocalist's ex-wife filed a lawsuit against the musician for the alimony of their two teenage sons.
According to La Vanguardia's website, Chilean former model and TV host Cecilia Amenabar file a lawsuit for alimony against the administrators of Cerati's fortune.
Cerati and Amenabar were married for 10 years, from 1992 to 2002, and had two children, Benito, 20, and Lisa, 17; however, since 2010, whenthe Argentinian musician suffered a stroke after a concert in Venezuela, his profits are managed by a judicial administrator, so the former model had to go to court to reach an agreement on their children's alimony.
With an estimated fortune of 50 million Argentinian pesos, around 109 million Mexican pesos, since his stroke, any actions regarding his fortune must be authorized by a court, according to La Segunda.
On May 15, 2010, Cerati offered a concert in Venezuela and shortly after finishing his performance, he suffered a stroke that left him in a coma.
Today, the Argentinian rocker remains in a Buenos Aires clinic with artificial respiration, reported CNN.
After the ex-wife's decision to file a lawsuit against the musician was made public, fans of the singer have expressed their inconformity in social networks; however, Lisa Cerati denied that the lawsuit was real on her Twitter account, where she said that neither her nor her brother needed alimony.
"What is this crap you're talking about? My brother and I are not lacking for anything, least of all food. It's a lie", she wrote, according to Vanguardia.
