Grand Theft Auto 5 affords players so many ways to customize their vehicles, it's daunting just thinking of the countless options available. Lucky for you, we're here to help. Here's a guide to vehicle customization in GTA5; you can thank us later.

One of the best options in the game is buying armor for your car. Players can buy an extra 20 percent of armor for their cars for $500 - $1,625 in the single player portion of the game or $4,500 online. However, buying a full 100 percent armor upgrade that will double the durability of the car is available for prices ranging from $5,000 - $25,000 in the single player mode or $30,000 online. This will not make the car invincible, but it will make the chosen vehicle much stronger. Players are also advised to buy bulletproof windows and tires if they are spending all this money on armor.

If you're worried about losing your car online, there are some simple purchases you can make to ensure the hard work you put into the car isn't lost. Players can buy a GPS tracker for their online ride for a mere $2,000, which allows players to follow their stolen car around and potentially steal it back. To go along with the GPS Tracker, players can insure their vehicle for $6,250 in case it's destroyed.

Spending money on a more powerful engine is another quick way to give your vehicle the advantage when raceing and fleeing from the police. The basic Engine Monitoring System (EMS) pack is available for $900 - $2,925 in the single player portion of the game or $1,800 online. Three other upgrades are available that increase the horsepower of the vehicle, with the max upgrade coming in at $3,350 - $10,887 in the single player game and $6,700 online.
