On the last episode of "Grey's Anatomy," Alex had a row with this estranged father and Shane was feeling pangs of guilt.

On upcoming episodes of the ABC series, Alex's (Justin Chambers) father, played by James Remar, will return as their relationship continues to grow. Shane's (Gaius Charles) guilt over Heather's untimely death will also continue. Gaius Charles told TVLine about Shane's personal issues.

"We'll have to see Shane balance that sort of personal trauma with how he does his job and falls in line at the hospital. It's going to be pretty cool, pretty interesting," Charles said.

And for fans wondering when Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) will have more of a storyline, wonder no longer: TVLine revealed that Arizona will have her own story arc in a couple weeks, beginning with the Nov. 14 episode.

On tonight's special Halloween episode, "Thriller," the gang will deal with patients who have seemingly supernatural ailments.

The synopsis reads: "It's Halloween and the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial are hit with a barrage of spooky patients, which affects their own plans and puts one doctor's well-being in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Derek collaborates with Ben on a new surgical technique, and Richard angers Bailey when he asks a second year resident to perform his next surgery, on a special Halloween episode of "Grey's Anatomy," THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network."

The episode will also feature more tension between Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Cristina (Sandra Oh), who are still not back to normal after Cristina's sharp dig at Meredith about her surgeon skills. In a special sneak preview for the episode, Meredith dispays her residual passive-aggressive anger toward Cristina by not inviting her to a Halloween event.

Grey Sloan will be in for more thrills when the series' fall run comes to an end. Series creator Shonda Rhimes told TVLine that the fall portion of the season "will be ending with a cliffhanger." But Rhimes is tightlipped about spilling any details: "I cannot offer a tease," she said.

Watch a sneak preview of a scene from "Thriller" below, which airs Thursday, Oct. 31 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
