Grand Theft Auto 5 is already easily the most popular game of the year, partially due to its online mode, and the game's success should only continue to escalate. Rockstar has announced that the first free batch of DLC for the game's online portion will be released in early November, giving players tons of new content.

According to IGN, the Beach Bum DLC will give players several new beach-flavored items for purchase, which will give users the chance to reminisce about the summer during the cold winter months ahead. In addition, new weapons will be brought into the game through the Beach Bum DLC. This content will be available in both the single player portion of the game as well as Grand Theft Auto Online. Players will be able to give their characters new hairstyles and tattoos along with some beach-themed vehicles for exploring the coastline. Furthermore, new gameplay content such as Jobs, which includes Gang Attacks, Survivals, Last Team Standings, Parachutes, Deathmatches and Races, will come with the Beach Bum DLC.

In addition to the Beach Bum DLC, Rockstar has announced a new feature for the game: Social Club Events Weekends. These events will be a way for Grand Theft Auto Online players to win special rewards and bonuses for completing the event. These include Event Crate Drops full of unique items, as well as discounts for items within the game. Rockstar will have a developer-hosted live stream for these Social Club Events Weekends that will give players the chance to win prize packs.

The final bit of content announced by Rockstar is the Content Creator for both races and deathmatches. This content will be separate from the Beach Bum pack and will be released afterwards. If a user-created race or deathmatch map proves to be worthy of Rockstar's approval, then it will label it "Rockstar Verified" and post it on the Rockstar Newswire.

This new content will add even more content to the already massive world of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online, allowing users to explore more and bring their own content into the game. Look out for further GTA5 updates right here.
