It has been a busy day for Apple Inc. with the introduction of the iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina Display, but the announcements continued with the latest iOS 7 update.

Apple has rolled out iOS 7.0.3 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices on Oct. 22.

iOS 7.0.3, according to Apple, "contains improvements and bug fixes."

The Cupertino-based organization noted the improvements and fixes included in the third iOS 7 update. The fixes include an issue that prevented iMessage from sending messages to some users, a bug preventing iMessage from activating, and an accelerometer calibration issue.

The update has additions for the iDevices such as Password Generator for Safari, iCloud Keychain to keep track of account names and personal information, and the ability to search the Web and Wikipedia from Spotlight search.

iOS 7.0.3 also fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the lock screen passcode.

To install iOS 7.0.3, Apple device owners can tap "Settings," then "General," and select "Software Update." iOS device owners can also connect their gadget to iTunes for the update.

iOS 7 launched on Sept. 18 for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini and the fifth generation of the iPod touch.

The last iOS 7 update was iOS 7.0.2 on Sept. 26. According to the Cupertino-based organization, the update also featured bug fixes that previously allowed someone to bypass the lock screen's passcode and reintroduces a Greek keyboard option for the passcode's entry.
