On the latest episode of "Nashville," Gunnar and Will have a yelling match and Maddie gets closer to her biological father.

In "You're No Angel Yourself," a sulking Maddie (Lennon Stella) is uninterested to go to the city's annual symphony benefit. Peggy (Kimberley Williams-Paisley) is still trying to trap Teddy into a pregnancy that will replace her fake one. Teddy (Eric Close) then proposes to Peggy (partially to avoid a scandal,) and tells her to not tell anyone about their engagement.

At the gala, Maddie bolts when she sees her grandmother's ring hanging on a chain around Peggy's neck. Rayna and the police then go in search of the angsty teen.

Meanwhile, Deacon (Chip Esten) goes on a date with his public-defender lawyer, Megan. When they are back at Deacon's place after their date, Rayna barges in, thinking that her missing daughter would show up at her biological father's place. (She was wrong.) Deacon offers to help in the search, but Rayna tells him to stay behind in case she turns up.

Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) is also angry that Rayna had to cancel her tour, leaving Juliette without a way to promote her new album. Maddie uses the number Juliette gave her in the season opener to call her for help. Juliette runs to Maddie to give her a hug and tell her that everything will be alright. She even tells Maddie that Rayna cares for her so much that she's canceling her tour to stay home with her family.

Maddie is subsequently grounded, but gets closer to her biological father when he tells over the phone the next day that he was worried when she went missing. She even calls him 'dad' out loud. Rayna later eavesdrops on her daughters singing Deacon's "A Life That's Good" song in Maddie's bedroom. But Rayna's happiness dissipates when she tries to sing along with them and realizes that her voice is still shot.

As for Will (Chris Carmack) and Gunnar (Sam Palladio), they are still in a fight after Gunnar refuses to let Will record the song he performed at the showcase in the last episode. "You're jealous!" Will shouts. "That's why you're holding onto the damn song, and that's the damn truth."

Avery (Jonathan Jackson) was fired from Juliette's band, and is back at The Bluebird.

Tandy (Judith Hoag), who is sure of her father's involvement in her mother's death, gives the Department of Justice a flash drive filled with evidence of her dad's "kickbacks, payoffs, illegal contributions - it's all here."

On the next episode, "Don't Open That Door," the synopsis reads: "Scarlett struggles when Jeff Fordham wants his new artists to cultivate hot, sexy personas; Rayna wants to obtain the rights to her music; Avery and Gunnar decide to record songs with Scarlett's friend Zoey."

TVLine also confirmed that a character will be killed off this season, but they will not reveal who will meet their demise.
