The UFO sighting reports and the mysterious pictures caught by astronauts from the International Space Station is not from extraterrestrial objects, but from a secret missile launch in Russia.

Several videos were uploaded by people who witnessed an alleged UFO in Ekaterinburg in Russia, which initially caught the imagination of people online.

But a forum post from NBC News space analysts James Oberg confirmed through Above Top Secret Forum that the object in the video is the Topol ICBM missile that was test-fired in Russia. Oberg even predicted in advanced that such launch will produce several videos that would be posted in different social media websites.

"Russia just test-fired a Topol ICBM from the Kapustin Yar range on the lower Volga, to the Shary Shagan impact zone in Kazakhstan. In the past, such launches have been seen over a wide area, as far away as Israel and Syria, and reported as UFOs. If the weather was clear, we might expect some spectacular videos to show up on YouTube and RUTube," Oberg said.

The said secret missile launch also produced eerie ghost cloud that was captured by NASA astronaut Mike Hopkins and Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano from the ISS.

Hopkins posted the image on his Twitter account and was captioned: "Saw something launch into space today. Not sure what it was but the cloud it left behind was pretty amazing."

Parmitano, on the other hand, also captured a very interesting image showing the trail left behind by the Russian missile launch, which was also posted on his Twitter account captioned: "A missile launch seen from space: an unexpected surprise!"

Oberg did not predict that the launch will produce spooky image from space as he was amazed that the rocket blast resulted to a good show for astronauts inside the ISS. He also clarified that the launch will not pose any danger to the astronauts.
