USA leads the NBA-packed Argentine team, 47 - 40 in their fight to obtain a win and advance to the tournament's final and gold medal match on Sunday, August 12.

Through the middle of the game, Kobe had 13 pts for USA, James had 11 and KLove 7. Argentina on the other hand had Delfino score 13 points, Scola 10 and Ginobili 8.

Manu Ginobili, Luis Scola, and ex-NBA player Andres Nocioni are trying to turn things around for the South American team but Kobe, LeBron, Anthony and the undefeated 'Dream Team' at the North Greenwich Arena are playing tough on the court.

The game has so far been very tight, with both teams trying to capitalize on each possession and being extra careful to commit turnovers.

Tipoff began at 4:00 p.m. EDT / 9:00 p.m. London Time and will proceed up at least until 6:00 p.m. EDT.

The winner between USA and Argentina will face Spain who earlier overcame Russia 67-59.

Pau Gasol had 16 pts to lead the Iberian team while Kaun's 14 pts were Russia's top.

Kobe Bryant this week shared that London would in fact be his last Olympic games. While he may be feel blue and somewhat nostalgic once the Olympics are up, news regarding a completed Dwight Howard trade to the Lakers is for sure keeping the star guard excited.

Howard was part of a 12-player deal that sent other NBA talents such as Andre Iguodala to Denver, and Andrew Bynum, Jason Richardson to Philadelphia.
