The Sony Xperia Z1 was officially revealed before IFA in Berlin, Germany on Sept. 4, but tech fans are already looking forward to the next version of the device, despite the Xperia Z1 not even hitting store shelves yet. Now, as users search for the Z1's possible price, there's a new leak concerning the Z2, which gives consumers a good idea of the smartphone's potential design.

AndroidSaS has obtained a photo allegedly showing the Xperia Z2, which differs slightly from the original Z1 (also referred to as the Honami). While the photo does not show the new Xperia device compared to the original Z1, the Z2 is reportedly larger, and will also have a bigger display than the original Z1. The Z2 is also seen to be very thin, and could possibly be one of the thinnest smartphones available if the pictures are accurate.

The Xperia Z2 is just now being discussed by users, but already the rumor mill is cranking out spec rumors about the device. The Xperia Z2, which is expected to be revealed at CES 2014, is rumored to have Android 4.4 KitKat as its operating system. The processor for the device is rumored to be a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with 3GB of RAM. The highlight of the Xperia Z1, the 20.7-megapixel camera with a Sony G Lens, will also appear on the Z2. The camera will be capable of capturing both Full HD 1080p photos and video along with 4K video support. But the big new feature for the Xperia Z2 that puts it above the Z1 will be the display, which is rumored to be 5.2 inches. The display is rumored to have a 500 ppi pixel density, elevating it above and beyond the industry standard. If the device is capable of capturing 4K videos as rumored, this display will be a handy tool to see the ultra high definition content. So far no price has been attached to the Xperia Z2, but considering the Xperia Z1 doesn't have an official price announcement or release date from Sony, or any service providers, it would be odd for the Z2 to already have a price attached.

Look out for more news about the Xperia Z1 and Z2 right here as the Z1 gets a price and release date and the Z2 continues to take shape heading into 2014.
