Next season of down-home soap "Nashville" will reveal the outcome of last season finale's car crash cliffhanger. According to TVLine, promo photos for the season show that Rayna (Connie Britton) will come out of her crash-induced coma, which was brought on by Deacon's (Charles Esten) intoxication.

The promo photos shows Rayna's frenemy, Juliette, (Hayden Panettiere) and Rayna's daughter keeping vigil, praying for Rayna to wake up.

The photos also hint that Deacon may finally stick to sobriety next season after almost making a fatal mistake. Executive producer Dee Johnson confirmed to TVLine that Deacon will definitely put away the bottle next season and own up to his mistakes.

"God, if this doesn't wake you up, I don't know what would," Johnson said. "That doesn't mean he comes out of it singing about sunshine and lollipops, but he definitely feels for what happened and takes responsibility for what happened."

However, Johnson also said that Deacon will be "facing an injury that might jeopardize his career."

Rayna will have a revelation about her love life once she comes out of the coma. Rayna "comes away feeling very much like it's time to perhaps move on from this relationship that has tethered her for many, many years," Johnson adds.

Rayna will therefore break it off with Deacon, and will become entangled with other new suitors, such as Jeff, a record label executive played by Oliver Hudson from "Rules of Engagement."

Juliette will also have a new love interest: a handsome, wealthy young man named Trey, played by "Twilight" star Charlie Bewley.

The season finale also showed Gunnar (Sam Palladio) proposing to Scarlett (Clare Bowen), adding another cliffhanger element to the season ending. Scarlett and Gunnar have had their troubles, leaving fans to speculate that she may say no to the proposal. The promo photos also show that her ex, Avery (Jonathan Jackson), will have his act back together in season two, which adds to the notion that Scarlett may have residual feelings for her ex that may lead her to nix the engagement. Viewers will find out Scarlett's answers in the first few hours of season two.

Meanwhile, Scarlett's singer friends, Zoey (newcomer Chaley Rose) and Layla (Aubrey Peeples) will arrive in the country music capital, hoping to make it big.

Next season, viewers will be seeing a lot of Will (Chris Carmack) eye candy. "He's trying really hard not to be what he believes he is, deep down," Johnson revealed. "He's trying really hard to make it all go away by hooking up with members of the opposite sex as often as he can."

Nashville season two premieres on Wednesday, September 25 on ABC.
