NBC's supernatural thriller "Grimm" will pick up where last season left off-- with Nick becoming zombified.

As Rosalee (Bree Tuner) said, a person can only be stopped from turning into a zombie when the person is in the "rage stage." Creators David Greenwalt and James Kouf told TVLine that Nick (David Giuntoli) will enter the rage stage pretty quickly, within the first two episodes of the upcoming season. On a rage scale from 1 to 10 (with ten being as ferocious as a tiger), Kouf said, "He's about an 11."

Nick will be cured by the end of the second episode, "but there's kind of residual damage," Kouf said.

The palpable damage will include memory loss, although not "that amnesia that Juliette had," Greenwalt added. This means that Nick will remember that he is a police officer and a Grimm, as well as who his friends are. However, he will not remember anything that happened while he was under Baron Samedi's (Reg E. Cathey) spell, and will be shocked at hearing some of the things he did while under the zombie influence.

The showrunners previously told TVLine that upcoming episodes will also feature "alligators in the sewer" and  "a reemergence of the Bauerschwein-Blutbad feud." In one episode, Sergeant Wu (Reggie Lee) will come into contact with something from the Wesen world, in what is to be one of the most terrifying scenes yet.

The creature he encounters is "something so creepy that the last thing that creepy was the fly episode," Greenwalt revealed. "This is right on par with that."

Alexis Denisof will also be joining the show's third season. Greenwalt worked with Denisof on the show "Angel." Denisof will join the series to play Viktor Albert Wilhelm George Beckendorf, Renard's (James Frain) shrewd first cousin. Manny Montana of "Graceland" is also joining the series to guest star as David Florez, a hotheaded ex-marine who served in Afghanistan. Montana's Florez suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, an ailment suffered by many vets.

TVLine also reports that Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) will be getting hitched in season three, despite their respective families disapproving of the union.

Grimm's third season premieres on October 25 on NBC.
