France will look to overcome their goal scoring woes when they take on Belarus in the World Cup qualifiers.

France is not only falling behind Spain for the top spot in the group, but has not scored in five straight matches this year. The last time France scored a goal was in March when they took down Georgia 3-1 at home. Since then, France has endured a 1-0 loss to Spain, a 1-0 loss to Uruguay, a 3-0 defeat against Brazil and a pair of 0-0 draws against Belgium and Georgia. The draw against Georgia was of vital importance as it gave Spain a three point advantage atop the group.

Despite the problems, Coach Didier Deschamps is not worried.

"I'm not worried but if we're there [setting a new record] it's because we've got problems. I'm assessing it and doing everything to improve it," said Deschamps, according to NDTV Sports.

"Our problem for five matches is that we haven't scored. From that point of view it's impossible to win matches. We have to find a way to improve that. I don't have any miracle solutions but we shouldn't beat ourselves up either, we need to keep persevering to reverse this tendency."

The main culprit has been 25-year-old Karim Benzema. The Real Madrid striker has gone over 20 hours since scoring his last goal for the national team and could find himself on the bench.

France will take on a Belarusian side that has already been eliminated from contention and only has one win in six matches.

Prediction: France finally scores and wins 2-0.
