The third season of "The Voice Mexico" began on September 8, with four coaches, Alejandra Guzmán, Wisin & Yandel, David Bisbal and Marco Antonio Solís making teams with the best voices.

According to Ahoradiario, as a way to open the first show of "The Voice Mexico" season 3, the coaches sang "Tu Cárcel" by Marco Antonio Solís, where each artist had a solo moment to give the song their personal touch. According to Televisa, the song can be downloaded from iTunes.

The show's mechanics will be the same as previous seasons; Ahoradiario explained that each coach will try to win contestants for their teams, but if none of the coaches turn their chair around, the contestant will be automatically eliminated from the competition.

The first participant, from the state of Guerrero, managed to turn all the coaches around but she joined Marco Antonio Solís' team. TVNotas reported that the contestant dedicated her interpretation of "La Maldita Primavera" to her grandmother.

The second participant, Cruz Francisco Leon, who sang "El Primer Tonto" and impressed David Bisbal and Marco Antonio Solís but chose "El Buki's" team. The son of singer Napoleón, José María Ruíz, also joined the show but as he was not chosen by any of the coaches, was eliminated from the competition.

Contestant Kate Botello also joined Marco Antonio's team, Samantha Rae also passed her audition and became David Bisbal's first team member, while "Los Líderes'" team got their first contestant, hailing from Chiapas.

Most of the contestants were accompanied by their families, but one of the contestants went by themselves. The contestant surprised the coaches with his performance that boasted a range that "left the coaches speechless."

At the end of the show, Marco Antonio Solís' team had four members, Wisin & Yandel's had two, David Bisbal had two and Alejandra Guzmán also had two, according to TVNotas.
