Telltale's The Walking Dead was a smash hit for the company, and the episodic game managed to jump to many different platforms over the course of the game's life. Now, both the first game, the 400 Days DLC released earlier this summer, and the upcoming sequel to the game will be appearing on the indie home console Ouya.

This news comes straight from Telltale, who confirmed the news to Gamespot. The first game and the DLC episode for the game (which Telltale strongly recommends players buy, as it will affect the way season two will play out) will come to the Android powered console sometime in the winter, with season two also coming to console at some point. Season two does not have a release date yet for any console, so it will be interesting to see if the first and second games come out close to each other on the Ouya.

One of the key features of the Ouya is that each and every game on the console will have some sort of free to play component. The Walking Dead season one will be no exception, as the first episode of the game will be completely free to check out so gamers can get a taste of the award winning game on the Ouya. Do not be surprised if the first episode of the season two of The Walking Dead game will be the free portion of the game on the Ouya, as it makes the most sense for users to get a sample of the game.

The Walking Dead game from Telltale was one of the most critically acclaimed game of the past year, and gamers have flocked to the episodic game that ties into the popular comic book turned television series. To keep fans interested in the game, Telltale released The Walking Dead: 400 Days as a DLC episode for the game, which gives players the chance to nonlinearly play as five different characters as they deal with the outbreak of the zombie plague. The first game and DLC will build into the plot of the second game in the series, and Telltale has revealed that Clementine, one of the main characters from the first game, will be involved in the second game in some capacity. However, they refused to say how big of a role the character will play in the game, so it will be interesting to see Clementine's influence on the game.
