Rumors have run rampant in Mexican media of the possible participation of actor Jaime Camil in the new Rosy Ocampo telenovela on Televisa. The rumor that actress Silvia Navarro being Camil's partner in the upcoming production has also gained strength in the past few days.

According to entertainment reporter Flor Rubio, the Guanajuato-born actress has been recognized by Camil on various occasions for her professional work on the screen, and although nothing has been confirmed yet, Navarro is emerging as a strong candidate to star in the new Televisa melodrama.

In her column in Diario Basta, Rubio noted that the relationship between Navarro and producer Ocampo is currently in a "cold" moment, after a deal didn't go through between her, Televisa and producer Carlos Moreno for possible jobs on television.

Now that she is done her commitment in the telenovela "Mentir Para Vivir," which stars David Zepeda and Mayrín Villanueva, Ocampo will fully commit to her new project, which has been green lighted, according to Másquetelenovelas.

The project will be an adaptation of "Nuevo Rico, Nuevo Pobre," "a romantic comedy with a main conflict based on richness and poverty," said the executive producer in an interview with the website. The EP also confirmed that Jaime Camil would star.

For the moment nothing else is known about the remake, which tells the story of two children who were "switched" when they were born and are raised by two completely different families. The two find out after growing up that they've been switched, which causes a radical change in their lives.
