Reports recently surfaced about the possibility of a movie based on Gloria Trevi's life, in which the singer would be played by Eva Longoria. The "Zapatos Viejos" singer, however, told the media that it's just a rumor.

According to Diario Rotativo, the Monterrey native said she is considering any actress to play the role, as long as it's done with professionalism and "heart."

The Mexican singer also laid to rest the rumors about her interest in Eva Longoria starring in the movie based on her life. "No, it's something that's been talked about for some time, but there is nothing confirmed regarding that," she declared.

In an August 21 article published in La Nación, Trevi's designer and friend, Gustavo Matta, said that she is preparing a movie project based on her personal and artistic life. Matta also revealed that he is in charge of designing the wardrobe for the movie.

In the interview, Matta said, "The movie will be filmed in the United States, in English and is a Hollywood production in which Trevi won't act."

However, new statements from the Mexican singer put the film's production in doubt, "I think that when it can be done, there will be someone that can do it, and only needs to add some heart to it," said Trevi according to Diario Rotativo.

The Mexican singer has returned to the spotlight after acquaintance Janette Garza Quintanilla and her mother, Juanita Quintanilla Sánchez, were detained in Texas, for allegedly being involved in the kidnapping of Trevi's husband, Armando Gómez, on October 7, 2011.

According to Quién magazine, the arrest of both women happened on August 18. The singer has not made any statement regarding their arrest.
