Madden NFL 25 comes out tomorrow for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and the game should be a monstrous success, considering the numbers it has put up on Amazon.com, and the Anniversary Edition of the game exclusive to the online retailer has also garnered its own fair share of success.

In an email sent to Latinos Post, a representative of Amazon.com revealed that Madden NFL 25 is the number one preordered sports video game of all time on the site, besting previous entries in the series as well as other strong video game titles due out soon such as FIFA 14, Pro Evolution Soccer 14, and the next-gen sports titles (including the updated version of Madden NFL 25) due for release when the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are released in November. This is quite the impressive feat, as the game, while heavily hyped by EA, has to compete with the other impressive sports titles the company is putting out, in addition to the other sports titles like Pro Evolution Soccer not made by EA.

Amazon also released the top ten cities, in which the most preorders for the game came from, which can be seen here. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the most preorders for the game all came from cities that host an NFL Stadium, with the technical exception of Phoenix, Arizona (the Arizona Cardinals play in University of Phoenix Stadium, which is technically located in Glendale, less than ten miles away from downtown Phoenix).

The online store also revealed some interesting information about the game's anniversary edition, which comes with a host of extra's, including access to every NFL game this year by receiving NFL Sunday Ticket for their computer or tablet devices. Amazon revealed that, in the time that it would take for every person who preordered the Anniversary Edition of Madden NFL 25 to watch every NFL game offered by the service, Barry Sanders (who appears on the game's cover) could run the length of 15 billion football fields. Amazon also revealed that the weight of the collective Anniversary Edition preorders would be so great that it would take two full NFL teams in order to bench press it all.

Clearly, Madden NFL 25 is going to be a smash hit for EA Sports, even before the next-gen console versions of the game have been released. Look out for more information about the game as it launches and gamers get their hands on the newest edition of the beloved football franchise.
