The ladies of Bluebell are about to get another eligible bachelor in their midst come fall. On Thursday, it was confirmed that “One Tree Hill” alum Robert Buckley had nabbed a guest spot in the upcoming third season of “Hart of Dixie.”

According to E! Online, Buckley will star as Peter, who is described as a “sweet, ordinary guy who is just passing through Bluebell.” The catch? Peter will have a “chance encounter” with everyone’s favorite Belle, Lemon Breeland (Jaime King). If the two strike up a romance, Buckley just might find himself coming back to Bluebell in the future, E! Online’s Jenna Mullins surmised.

Last season, Lemon was very much single, but going through a period of personal growth as the new co-owner of the Rammer Jammer. Now, it might be the perfect time to find Lemon in a new and exciting romance. Earlier this summer, King announced that she was expecting her first child. How “Hart of Dixie” writers will address her pregnancy in the show is anyone’s guess, but Peter’s arrival may provide the perfect answer.

Buckley, who has also starred in “666 Park Avenue” and “Lipstick Jungle,” isn’t the only confirmed guest star this season. As previously reported, “Chuck” actor Ryan McPartlin, actress Antoinette Robertson and “Dexter” actor Josh Cooke have all nabbed guest spots in the new season.

Meanwhile, the future of two recurring characters--Laura Bell Bundy’s Shelby and Claudia Lee’s Magnolia--remains up in the air. Both actress have nabbed roles in “Anger Management” and “Surviving Jack,” respectively.

One Bluebell native, however, has been given series regular status this season. Kaitlyn Black’s Annabeth was upgraded earlier this summer, ensuring many future scenes between the Belle and Mayor Lavon Hayes (Cress Williams).

“Hart of Dixie” returns for season three on Monday, October 7 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
