Roughly 20 days ahead of a rumored Apple special event, new images of the Cupertino company's iPhones have leaked.

The photos were posted on China's Twitter equivalent, Weibo, and show the iPhone 5S and the low-cost iPhone, also known as the iPhone 5C.

The images are simply mock models without a working display, but they may give the consumer an approximate idea of the upcoming device's dimensions.

The low-cost iPhone features a plastic casing, which has been an ongoing rumor about the iPhone 5C for several months. The iPhone 5S, meanwhile, looks similar to the current iteration of the iPhone 5.

The photos come as a report stated Apple will cancel production of the iPhone 5 in order to focus on the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. In an interesting move, Apple plans to keep the iPhone 4S instead.

In a note by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 5C has been projected to sell between $400 and $500.

According to Apple Insider, the low-budget iPhone is expected resemble the iPhone 5, in terms of specifications. The iPhone 5C was forecasted to have a 4-inch screen, front-facing FaceTime camera and a home button. The back of the rumored device will have a rear-facing iSight camera, microphone and singular LED flash.

As Latinos Post has reported, Apple is planning a special debut event for Sept. 10 to introduce the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Apple, however, has not issued a comment regarding the Sept. 10 event.
