Details about the tenth season of ABC’s hit medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy” continue to make their way to fans as the premiere date inches closer and closer. Several guest spots have already been confirmed, as well as the departure of “Grey’s” original Sandra Oh (Cristina Yang).

On Friday, it was confirmed that “Dexter” actor James Remar has nabbed a multi-episode arc in the upcoming tenth season. According to TVLine’s Michael Ausiello, the details surrounding Remar’s appearance are secret, although he is likely to show up early in the season.

While Remar’s character remains a mystery, TVLine previously reported that the show was searching for an actor to play a new character named Bill, who is described as “a likeable jazz musician in his 50s who has been ‘somewhat ravaged by drug abuse.’” Ausiello also reported that Bill is slated to appear in about five episodes in the upcoming season. Could Remar possibly be “Grey’s” Bill?

Other confirmed guest stars include “Being Human” alum Bobby Campo, “Hellcats” vet Heather Hemmens and “The X-Files” actress Veronica Cartwright. Campo and Hemmens will portray a couple in the season premiere. As previously reported, Campo will play Brian "a young dedicated fireman" who's engaged to Sasha (Hemmens), "a tough cop with a good heart."

Meanwhile, Cartwright will play an unnamed character in the upcoming season opener.

While some actors prepare to appear as guest on the popular medical drama, at least one series regular is preparing for her last season on the show. Sandra Oh confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that she would be leaving the Shonda Rhimes flagship at the end of the tenth season. No word on how Oh’s departure will affect her on-screen love interest Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd).

“Grey’s Anatomy” season 10 premieres with a two-hour episode called “Seal Our Fate” on Thursday, September 26 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
