Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are all set to resume their historic rivalry on Friday as they play for a spot in the semifinal round of the Cincinnati Masters at the Lindner Family Tennis Center

After dealing with back problems weeks prior to the event, Federer seems back in full force after dispatching Philip Kohlschreiber 6-3, 7-6, and Tommy Haas 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.

Fresh from a victory at 2013 Rogers Cup, Nadal continued to steamroll the competition as he blasted Benjamin Becker 6-2, 6-2, and Grigor Dimitrov 6-2, 5-7, 6-2, to set up another exciting showdown with his old rival.

Friday's epic clash will be the 30th time the two great tennis players will play each other with Nadal taking a 19-10 head-to-head advantage over Federer.

Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic will play John Isner while Andy Murray battles Tomas Berdych for a place in the semis.

After being denied his fourth Rogers Cup title following a loss to Nadal in the semis, Djokovic remained sharp as he took down Juan Monaco 7-5, 6-2, and David Goffin 6-2, 6-0.

Murray, on the other hand, will try to bounce back after an early exit at the Rogers Cup. The Brit defeated Mikhail Youzhny 6-2, 6-3, and Julien Benneteau 6-2, 6-2.

Juan Martin Del Potro already punched his way to the final four with a 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 win over Dmitry Tursunov on Friday afternoon.

On the women's side, world's No. 1 Serena Williams is scheduled to face Simona Halep of Romania while Caroline Wozniacki will take on Victoria Azarenka.
