Mexican model and TV presenter Rebecca de Alba, singer Ricky Martin's former girlfriend, has a few things to say about her ex-boyfriend. Through her Twitter account, she admitted the couple didn't have a good relationship, clarifying rumors that suggested she might interview him, Diario Cambio reported.

"No le hare entrevista a @ricky_martin. Soy profesional pero hace tiempo que él no se ha portado a la altura como persona ni como caballero" (I will not do an interview with @Ricky_Martin. I'm a professional but for a long time he hasn't behaved as an educated man or as a gentleman), tweeted de Alba.

The 48-year-old reportedly deleted her tweet minutes after posting it, so as to make it clear there was no interview intended, Diario Cambio wrote. Although it is obvious the former couple doesn't get along well, after Martin came out as gay, de Alba said was "sympathetic" and stated that at the time they were dating she didn't know he was gay, the news site reported.

According to Latin Times, the Mexican TV host made some comments during an interview with Televisa Espectáculos about her ex-boyfriend.

"They called me on the phone to ask me if I had any inconvenience in making a special and I said, 'Why would I have an inconvenience?'" de Alba said, according to the publication. "It is my job. He is an artist and besides, I know him very well."

"It is an interview that goes beyond curiosity; you will get to know Ricky very deeply. I will ask those questions that people want to know," she added.

Martin and de Alba had an on-again, off-again relationship for some time, until the Puerto Rican singer admitted his homosexuality in 2010. According to Latin Times, in several interviews he claimed their relationship was "genuine" and that by dating de Alba he wasn't trying to cover up his sexuality. Martin said he was really in love with the TV host.

"Sometimes you can't explain what it is exactly that attracts you to someone, that amazing magnetism. Everything that I felt at that moment was pure. A lot of people might say, 'Well, you were trying to justify yourself; maybe you were trying to prove yourself...' It is complicated... but, at that moment, it felt real; it felt amazing," said Martin during a VH1 "Behind The Music" special in 2011.
