Well what do you know, a new contender for the role of Anastasia Steele has entered the growing "50 Shades of Grey" casting arena. It doesn't come as much surprise, as avid fans are well aware of the ever-changing lineup of potential actors for both Anastasia and Christian Grey. While E. L. James and Universal Studios remain silent on the pressing matter at hand, it's up to fans to create polls and mock trailers featuring their favorites. It keeps the "50 Shades" fire burning and maybe, just maybe, their angst and determination will prompt James and Universal to make a timely decision.

So who's the newbie to join contention for the role of the innocent, young Anastasia? You might be surprised. This time around, the new warrior to enter the "50 Shades" arena is a rising supermodel with an attractive ferocity and a "who cares?" attitude. Her recent antics and overall demeanor have pegged her as a rebel, and now the 20-year-old is fueling the fire.

Cara Delevingne, whose older sister, Poppy, has also been mentioned in Anastasia Steele talks, has stepped up to face powerhouses Alexis Bledel and Emilia Clarke in the running for the coveted role.

"Cara is a front-runner for a part," a source told The Sun. "She's desperate to get the gig and has always said that she wanted to be taken seriously as an actress... She's a global icon now and a good actress as well and Sam wants her in the movie, though which part exactly hasn't been established."

"Her agent has also been talking to Kelly Marcel, the screenplay writer and, if needs be, a strong role will be written for her."

Delevingne made her film debut in "Anna Karenina last year and is now pursuing a role of higher stature. Although she may not have much acting experience, director Sam Taylor-Johnson is keen on having the wild young scene girl on the project, even if not as Anastasia Steele.

Delevingne recently took to her Twitter saying, "Sorry to all the spelling bees!! Don't listen to the press, they need to get their facts straight... Once again." It's unclear if she was referring to "50 Shades" or recent rumors indicating a potential role in "Kids In Love," but either way it will be exciting to see how it plays out.

The clock is winding down. A major decision is on the horizon. Do you think Delevingne would be the right fit for Ana? Would she look good next to Christian Grey front-runner Matt Bomer?
