On Aug. 6, Telemundo will premiere its new telenovela "Santa Diabla."

The series, starring Gabby Espino, Aaron Diaz, and Carlos Ponce, tells the story of Santa Martínez (Espino), a woman obsessed with justice and revenge who meets the love of her life and must choose between her feelings for him and the vengeance she has pursued for so long.

In a press statement, Telemundo executives said, "'Santa Diabla' once more brings Hispanic television a different kind of telenovela where the characters drive the action; in this case, a love story full of surprises."

On the eve of the premiere, the network announced that Diaz and Ponce joined voices for the first time to sing the theme song for the telenovela.The theme song will be called "Santa Diabla."

Espino returns to the soap opera industry after a two-year absence. She was recently seen in "Ojo Por Ojo," "Mas Sabe el Diablo," "El Rostro de Analia," and "Sin Vergüenza. The Venezuelan actress will next host "Premios Tu Mundo" alongside her co-star Diaz.

Ponce recently served as host on the TV show "Idol Kids Puerto Rico," and "Hollywood Heights." The actor recently starred in the telenovelas "Dos Hogares," "Perro Amor," and "Dame Chocolate." He has also been featured in a number of Hollywood films, including "Couples Retreat," "Just My Luck" and "Chasing Papi." Ponce has also been seen hosting "Miss Universe" and serving as the face of State Farm.

Diaz recently appeared in "Rosario," "El Talisman," and "Teresa." He has also appeared in the play "Vaselina" and on the TV show "Pan Am." The actor also released a new album and made headlines this year with the birth of his first son to Lola Ponce. 

The novela was written by José Ignacio Valenzuela ("El Chascas") and also stars Francés Ondiviela, Wanda D'isidoro, Ezequiel Montalt, Jeimy Osorio, Lis Vega, Zuly Montero, Jorge Eduardo Garcia, Fred Valle, Virna Flores, Eduardo Orozco, Kenya Hijuelos, Alberich Bormann, Raúl Izaguirre, Luis Caballero, Gerardo Riveron, Gilda Haddock, Beatriz Valdés, Maria Requenel, Javier Valcarcel and Ana Osorio. The series will air at 10 p.m. on Telemundo.
